Dragon Bistro in Cambria

My wife works in Cambria, we live in Atascadero but if we feel like a Chinese dinner we will drive to the Dragon Bristol for the BEST Chinese dinner on the central coast.

Consistently good food with good lunch specials. They do not scrimp on expensive ingredients. Consistently good service, too. Yummo!

Decent fare, but very poor service. Everybody seems to be in a hurry to be anywhere but at your table. Our server didn't even know what goes into a dish! Wouldn't recommend.

Food is bland and luke warm. Seems like it has been sitting under a light all day long. No special orders. Super expensive.

I was a little hesitant at first, because Chinese restaurants in historic little towns like Cambria tend to be tourist trappy, and from the outside it looks tourist trappy, but this place is legit. I've tried their curry, their garlic chicken, their egg drop soup, their cashew chicken, and their orange chicken. It's all excellent.

We always visit Dragon Bistro during our visit to Cambria. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. The food is fast and fresh. They are always accommodating to make vegetarian dishes for me and my husband. It's a good thing to have a nice variety of places to eat in the area.

Great Chicago style Chinese foods. Fast service. A good selection of vegan foods. Parking is easy.

Definitely come here if you enjoy Chinese food tailored to the mediocre tourist's palette. Just got charged over 10 dollars for basic fried rice. They seemed perplexed when we asked to omit garlic and just told us that it wouldn't taste good. It might sound a bit strange, but some people have food allergies.

Good service. It's hard to find decent Chinese food when you've already had the best and this place was a good place to find it.

Don't try it if you are used to fresh ingredients and decent service..you may be disappointed. My dad would have loved it.

We are tourist from China, we got this restaurant from the local map. Both the dish and service are very good.

not real Chinese food, the fried rice is too wet，service is just so so, I don't see any smile。The restroom is clean and cozy though. 典型的美式中餐，好难吃。

Highly recommend lunch, they have a great lunch special for a good price. The orange chicken is just the way I love it. Good rice and soup.

Chow mein and egg rolls are the best

If I could give this place 0 stars i would. If you're going here as a big group and sit at separate tables don't. The manager herself will combine all your tables and make you pay +15% each table for tips wether you like it or not. The owner is also racist saying we don't tip because we are all asians, even though she was asian herself. Not only that she had to nerve to argue with us and actually physically push us. The owner herself didn't even apologize, one of her other staffs had to.

Delicious freshly prepared dishes done to perfection. Service was polite and friendly. Atmosphere is clean, spacious, and comfy at the same time. Well priced too. One of my favorite weekend escapes.

Just tried the lo mein and curry rice. Both we're good, service high quality.

Spent 15 minutes before we were even looked at to be sat then some b**** waitress yelled at us that we "sat at the wrong table". Left immediately.

Good selection of vegetarian items for me, lots of non-vegetarian items for my wife. The food tastes good, is moderately priced, and is well prepared. The staff could be friendlier, but they are not rude, either. We often eat here when we visit lovely Cambria

Great lunch specials by the plate. Nice to relax and enjoy being there after working at the Historical Museum.

The food seemed to be packaged/frozen, and heated as opposed to fresh. I had the bbq pork fried rice, jumbo prawns and sweet&sour pork. The sauce was from a can or package, the pork very dough like, not much meat and served seperate from the meat. The prawns seem to have been fried from frozen, tasteless, and the hot mustard had no bite and was runny, as if it had been a powder mixed with water, and not thoroughly. The rice was mushy, but the peas and the bbq pork was decent. Quite pricey for the quality, but there was indeed a lot of it.

Friendly staff, great food, reasonable price. No disappointments. Always stop here when we are in town.
